Opeth
Opeth has captured me whole. Their whole sound is just so wow!
The first song I've heard of was The Drapery Falls. I wasn't really paying much attention to it. What had more of an affect on me was Harvest. It rescued me in a way. The song starts very melodic and even though it's progressive death metal, something I thought I'd never get into, wow!
Opeth-Harvest
Lyrics
Stay with me awhile
Rise above the vile
Name my final rest
Poured into my chest
Into the orchard I walk peering way past the gate
Wilted scenes for us who couldn't wait
Drained by the coldest caress, stalking shadows ahead
Halo of death, all I see is departure
Mourner's lament but it's me who's the martyr
Pledge yourself to me
Never leave me be
Sweat breaks on my brow
Given time ends now
Into the orchard I walk peering way past the gate
Wilted scenes for us who couldn't wait
Drained by the coldest caress, stalking shadows ahead
Halo of death, all I see is departure
Mourner's lament but it's me who's the martyr
Spirit painted sin
Embers neath my skin
Veiled in pale embrace
Reached and touched my face
Into the orchard I walk peering way past the gate
Wilted scenes for us who couldn't wait
Drained by the coldest caress, stalking shadows ahead
(Release your grip, let me go, into the night)
Halo of death, All I see is departure
Mourner's lament but it's me who's the martyr

6 Comments:
Hey you. Anita/Aishwarya here.
Death metal. Well, I've two comments:
1 - "rescued me"? What's that about? It's positive, though it hints at something from which TO have been rescued...hmm...take care, hun. :)
2 - That genre. That was HIS doing, wasn't it? :| Dayaan's?
About your previous post though (forgive my being late - I've got limited net access for awhile!):
I think it depends on the situation. Like in the situations where you need to tell your FRIENDS the truth because a lie might mortify or potentially upset them later, there is a way it can be BETTER not to know the truth.
Consider this; someone has a problem with you. But it's just the ONE person, who, though he is important to you, is alone in his opinion. What if his opinion, ie: the full TRUTH, made you upset and made you want to CHANGE yourself to suit him? It may be better to ignorantly continue being the darling you are without knowing that he objects, coz really, YOU don't really want to change who you are.
Ahem! :$ I apologise for the possibly confusing musings! The Californian heat's gotten to me! *swoons*
Love,
Anita
One things for sure Aishwarya, I'm not changing for anyone EVER.If the TRUTH is pointed out, hey atleast I know where I'm going wrong right? And again it's up to me to decide whether I should change that particular "thing" about me which upsets people.
Really sweet of you to comment Aishwarya. Hope everything's alright in California. Take care of yourself,
Mwahhhzz
Good to know, hun, coz I'm not changing myself either! :D
Everything's great. I'm actually in Indianna for the week on holiday...and there's this thing with geese that's making me want to begin blogging even if I don't own a laptop yet.
Poultry suck.
Enjoy your summer! :)
Love,
Anita
Who do you mean? :O I tell you, I really DID help to chase geese off the property and my dad, Revathi and I even put up curtains today!! Okay, ONE curtain, but it's a bit heavy and this DIY stuff is new to us and...
Me again. Mm-hmm.
I like it! Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing this wonderful site with us.
